To each its own.
It has been such a pleasure to do music covers recently. Not because of the encouragement and support I receive from people around me, but really, of an increasing interest and a "thing" I could possibly do regularly. It is simply for sharing purposes. The word I prefer using. Therefore, if it goes under or beyond your expectations, it is not my intention. I just hope that my covers will bless you.

Teach me how to number my days...
As Semester Two begins in a week's time, I am glad to say that this holiday had been a well-spent one.
Got to go for an overseas trip, made a number of international friends, went to the beach, swam in the sea, played Volleyball with shades and a straw hat, attained my driving license, met people that I wanted to meet, caught most of the interesting movies this season, taught a few friends how to play the guitar, learnt a few gigs, attempted baking with friends and somewhat succeeded, attended a hip-hop open dance class, led Praise and Worship in Cell Group for the very first time, taught Mom how to do Gangnam Style, re-watched touching romantic movies and cried again, became more adventurous than I already am and were in moments that I stood there thinking, Wow, I had the time of my life.
Although going to school isn't really like having a holiday, I know that I can still embrace life as life itself and believe that every new day brings new surprises that God gives when He knocks at the door saying, "Open up, My child. It's time to wake up and get going."

Trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never met...
I had been having weird dreams the past week. They are weird because I remember them. And it is funny how I can dream so deep that an hour's nap can leave me feeling like I have slept for an entire night! A little creepy too. This makes me very confused... Am I dreaming now?

Life is not a drive by.
Hello, just thought that you might be expecting some kind of news if you have read my previous post.
That's right, you got it, I... (Wait for it...) PASSED. Officially a legal driver! I think I was dying of happiness yesterday.
Because, if you knew about what happened just before my test, how bad my day started, you would have imagine how I was feeling prior the test and how the odds were totally in my favour eventually.
Truly, God never fails to turn things around when you begin to put your trust in Him. And He comes right on time.
I am so touched to know how supportive my family and friends are. Appreciate all the congratulatory calls and messages and words of encouragement... Means so much to me. Felt as if I was getting married.

Checking blind spots is challenging for stiff-necked people.
Driving Test in 2 days.
My only worry is the assessment in the driving circuit because I have only been there once and that one time was enough to freak me out because it was really quite challenging. I was told many times by my instructor that the speed of the vehicle has to be slow and gentle. And of no hurry. That is the problem. I have not gotten used to that and in the circuit... My! The turns and what nots are confusing!
During the entire session with my instructor, I was pretty much having personal conversations in my mind.
Figured that I should do what I do best. Stay calm.

The day the ocean ate my spectacles.
Hi.
I lost my pair of spectacles in the ocean today.
I know that sounds stupid. It is. And it happened. And I'm grieving inside because it was my favourite pair.
I still remember asking my friend, "Does spectacles float or sink in water?"
And she said, "Sink."
There went my hope of what seemed like finding a needle in a haystack.

Currently reading...
This lady is such an inspiration.
I was just thinking if I would have a story to tell in the future... Maybe not to the world, but at least to my close ones.
I cannot wait!

I know I'm not tired of you, maybe you got tired of me...
I am just in love with Cameron singing Aqualung's "Lost"... When I listen to this, I can't seem to do anything else. Just beautiful.
Daylight comes in the nick of time
Shines some light into the darkest corners of her mind
All the world is, all the world is weighing down on you
Piece by piece, it all falls away
All this beauty, all this magic 'til there's nothing there
If only love was enough, I could reach you, I would reach you
I know I'm not tired of you, but maybe you got tired of me
It seems like every little thing I do makes you pull yourself away
So I'm waiting for the sun, but you only see the grey
Oh no - won't you please come on home
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/a/aqualung/lost.html ]
Oh, I've been missing you, you got lost along the way
Oh maybe you aren't lost; it's still in you some way
If only love was enough, I could reach you, I would reach you

I felt really silly this afternoon.
It was 12.50pm when I bought the things I needed including my lunch, a bowl of hot Udon noodles. Headed to the busstop and checked the arrival time of my bus with an iPhone app and it stated, 1.13pm. Feeling extremely thirsty, I thought, hey, there's time to cross opposite to get a drink. And so... I made that choice. Got my drink, headed back to the busstop and 4 minutes later, my bus arrived. Boarded the bus with a smile because I was the first passenger in the queue to board. I know, simple pleasure. Ha. Then, to my greatest horror, my bus card had insufficient money! Flashback, flashback. I did tell myself to top it up beforehand! But clearly, I had forgotten and thus, felt mildly embarrassed. The reader said "Pay Cash". Oh great. I didn't have coins. (!!!)
Ok...
So then as I was attempting to alight the bus, there were thousands of people trying to push their way up to board the bus. So now you see, being first in the queue isn't always good. Feeling awkward already, I had to wait till the last person boarded the bus before I could alight.
I was so embarrassed.
You see, if I did remember, I would have used the time earlier to top up my card instead of getting a drink that didn't even taste nice. Not only that, my Udon turned soggy by the time I reached home which was 1.45pm.
Truly truly... the choices you make everyday are very important. One event can lead to another. Just like the choice I made to buy a drink instead of topping up my bus card led to events, or rather consequences, of wasting precious time, having soggy noodles for lunch and sheer embarrassment.
