I came across this article on cherishing people in your life, something I strongly agree with.
Caring for one another, being there when someone you love is hurting, sharing in the joyous events, these are the moments in life that build the bonds of love. Understanding that a life is made up of laughter, sadness, hurt, and excitement, and not the things you posses, is what makes you cherish the people around you. There are so many little sayings that follow us throughout the years," Home is where the heart is", and "A mom's love never fails", for instance, but to really reflect and believe in these sayings is something most people don't take the time to do.
Often in this world, people are so caught up in getting everything done that they feel they have to do, they forget to sit back and appreciate what they have. Instead they are stressed out, working more so they can have more, and neglecting their marriages, families, and friendships in the meantime.
Maybe it's time to ask yourself what is important to you. Maybe it's time to take a good, hard look at what you place at the top of your priority list. Maybe it's time to really reflect on these old sayings and determine where it is you stand in your life. I mean, really.
